Travel across Mexico to experience Dia de los Muertos with author Luisa Navarro in vivid colour through the lens of photographer Christine Chitnis.
This beautiful book is a lush exploration of the vibrant and important traditions of Día de los Muertos. We welcome Luisa Navarro back to her hometown and are thrilled to learn from her about this rich Mexican tradition, and the ways we might all honor and celebrate those we’ve loved and lost.
Luisa Navarro is a Mexican-American storyteller and creator of the blog and lifestyle brand, Mexico In My Pocket. A graduate of the Columbia Journalism School, she worked as a producer for major network news before opening her beautiful gift shop in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY.
Before all of that however, Luisa grew up in Dallas and is a graduate of The Episcopal School of Dallas. Help us warmly welcome her back to Dallas and congratulate her on this extraordinary book! Luisa will sign copies on Friday, September 19 between 2:00 and 3:30. At 2:15 she will make brief remarks about this sacred holiday and the rich traditions around it.
If you are unable to attend the signing you are welcome to call the store and purchase books over the phone. (214)521-3862.
